Physical activities for the socialization of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Abstract
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is recognized as a disorder that affects the configuration of the nervous system and its functioning, affecting the areas of development of communication, behavior and socialization. The study presented was developed from the need to evaluate the application of a physical activity program, in the behavior of the functional response of the area of Socialization in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The objective of the study is to evaluate the influence of a physical activity program on the development of the Socialization dimension in children who participate in the “Soñar en Azul” project developed at the Manuel Fajardo University of Physical Culture and Sports Sciences. A research was developed with a mixed approach, using an experimental method (quasi-experiment) in pretest and posttests for the experimental and control group. The Autism Spectrum Inventory Instrument is used to measure the severity and depth of autism traits in the Socialization dimension in pretest and posttests for the experimental and control group.
