Abstract

In Colombia, Cheerleading is widely accepted, which has promoted its participation in international championships; however, the study of the initial context allowed us to recognize the absence of solid concepts about the need and characteristics of control and evaluation; as well as the lack of a methodological instrument for this purpose; therefore, the objective of this research is to design a control and evaluation system for the technical acrobatic component for the national Cheerleading teams of Colombia. Assumes a mixed approach to research and involves the successive construction and reconstruction of each part of a control and evaluation system that is proposed as the main result of the research. The following were determined as components of the system: the technical acrobatic indicators, the methods and the instruments to be used, with their essential elements; their operation is established within the corresponding process in the application environment, which allows a feedback process that goes from the output to the input of the system. It was possible to predict, through the opinion of the participating coaches and the panel of experts, that the system is feasible and useful, which was confirmed in the pilot test carried out.
