Teachers’ perception about Quality Physical Education: Venezuela Case Study
Main Article Content
Abstract
Quality Physical Education is a concept that has been developed by UNESCO and has been adopted in the various MINEPS meetings; this has generated various research. Defining what quality in education implies is quite broad and although UNESCO has pointed out some elements, there are various research that have been generated on the subject. The objective of this paper is part of the global research that is conducted by Ho et al (2021), which is also the product of a project that has had various phases for more than a decade. In the case of Venezuela, 341 Physical Education teachers from some cities participated in answering the questionnaire: Maracay, Valencia, San Fernando de Apure, Calabozo, Isla de Margarita (three cities). The descriptive statistics of the eight factors associated with quality physical education are presented, with a response range of 0-10, the highest average for the quality of physical education teaching factor (CEEF); a minimum value of 0 and a maximum of 10, some values outside the normal range (-1 and +1). The reliability of the instrument is good with a .962 Cronbach's Alpha
