Maximum and submaximum stimulation training for the improvementof competitive performance
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Cuban weightlifter preparation system is carried out having as a reference the repetitions and the so-called stimulation zones, the indications for its implementation recognize that the emphasis of the work must be done in the stimulation area with moderate weights; however, the work of several years denotes that the increases do not correspond to what competitive activity demands, both nationally and internationally. The objective of this research is to develop maximum and submaximum stimulation training for the improvement of competitive performance. The research is classified as applied and included the use of theoretical and empirical scientific methods, as well as the validation of the results obtained in the pre-experiment between the pre-test and post-test of the five tests carried out. Significant increases were achieved between 18-49 kg and between 6.98-15.63%, respectively, which supports the contribution of maximum and submaximum stimulation training in improving competitive performance.
