Physical exercises with therapeutics goals in patient with cerebral palsy. A case study
Main Article Content
Abstract
A case study of experimental minimum control was carried out with a school girl with cerebral palsy, who was in the second grade at the Special School "Solidarity with Panama", with the purpose of evaluating and demonstrating the effectiveness of the therapeutic physical exercises that were used for your treatment. It showed, qualitatively and quantitatively, the progress made in the stimulation, organization and awareness of movement patterns (in sitting, posture, balance and independent gait), and facilitation in the performance of activities of daily life. The methods used in the study allowed us to assess the influence of therapeutic physical exercises on spasticity, balance and independent gait of the school. The final result were an improvement in terms of balance and mobility, making it possible to correct gait patterns and facilitating activities of daily living, reflected in the 95 points reached in the final evaluation with the BarthelIndex, which allowed to concluded that the exercises applied were relevant for the physical rehabilitation of the school.
