El proceso de desarrollo de los tenistas en Brasil desde la perspectiva de actores deportivos

Resumen

Una comprensión holística y contextualizada del proceso de desarrollo a largo plazo se presenta como un punto de partida para establecer planes de acción más asertivos para promover el tenis de alto rendimiento. En ese escenario, este estudio buscó sistematizar y describir los principales puntos de atención encontrados en los discursos de agentes deportivos representativos, sobre el proceso de desarrollo de los tenistas en Brasil. La investigación, de carácter cualitativo, se caracteriza por ser exploratoria y descriptiva, utilizando como estrategia el Análisis Temático para analizar las nueve lives que constituyó la muestra investigada. Los resultados encontrados se fueran agrupados en dos temas: Potencialidades/Oportunidades de desarrollo en el contexto nacional; y Retos para la formación de deportistas que aspiran a la excelencia internacional. Entre las Potencialidades/Oportunidades, la formación y el intercambio de experiencias entre entrenadores, el uso de nuevas metodologías de enseñanza y el involucramiento de diferentes actores deportivos aparecieron como subtemas de primer nivel. Como Retos/Barreras, los principales subtemas encontrados fueron el proceso de formación/desarrollo y la cultura deportiva. En el discurso de los participantes fue evidente los avances alcanzados en los últimos años, la necesidad de repensar el ecosistema competitivo y el apoyo que se ofrece a los agentes presentes en este contexto.
