Importance of the laterality in the selection of ambidextrous hitters in baseball

Abstract
The baseball is apassion being our national sport. A controversial theme is the one of the ambidextrous hitters and his selection. Today the trainers and scientists study it for the sake of getting better and developing abilities to increase results in the offensive performance of the players. The laterality in the selection of ambidextrous hitters in baseball has a great importance reflecting some physiological and psychological conditions of the hitters at both sides of the home plate affecting in the bilateral work, this player can be utilized against defensive strategies. For it perspectives should be analyzed than of some parameters to follow of individual way in the athletes as they are: Hemispheric motor dominance, control of the technique, inclination for this ability, indications methodological, and years of experience. The foundation of the importance of this ability is the objective of this work, using theoretic methods like: analysis and synthesis; empirics, revision of documents. The efficacious selection of ambidextrous hitters, this would result in increase of the performance, tendencies in the physical fitness, proposing changes in the regulations in vigor, optimizing the trainings.
