Interdisciplinary approach in the healthy training of visually impaired athletes
Main Article Content
Abstract
The current conceptual and methodological tools to be able to face the development of healthy training with athletes in conditions of disability do not allow fulfilling these purposes without affecting their health. The objective was to reveal the potential of the interdisciplinary approach to develop healthy sports training for visually impaired athletes with Marfan syndrome. A bibliographic research was carried out based on a critical multilateral evaluation of the possibilities of training without affecting their health. It was possible to systematize the conceptual and methodological aspects that allow overcoming the physical, psychological and social barriers in the sports participation of people with Marfan syndrome. The interdisciplinary integration of different sciences and knowledge such as medicine, genetics, cardiology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, physiology, anatomy, dentistry, sports training methodology, kinesiology, sports psychology, allows a more integrative look at the phenomenon that can transcend other disciplines.
