Legacy of the AJEDUNI Festival in the development of Cuban chess
Main Article Content
Abstract
The loss of a regular space for university chess forces professionals and researchers to look for alternatives for its recovery and development. The objective of this research was to assess the social and sporting legacy of the AJEDUNI University Festival in the development of Cuban chess. The methodology included a descriptive exploratory study from the documentary review and through descriptive statistics to compare two essential moments of the studied phenomenon. It is revealed how the ISLA Chess Studies Center, by rescuing the AJEDUNI University Festival, showing the growth in a group of participatory indicators, manages to demonstrate the legacy of the event for the community and Cuban chess.
