Violence in sports: Myth or reality

Abstract
The job has the objective to explore the perception that the professors of the Faculty of Physical Culture and sports professors have on the violence in sports. Were used the documentary analysis, workshops and interview to investigate of the level of knowledge on the theme. The regularities of the workshops show up and they discuss the results of the interviews. The use of key informants allows delving deeply into the conception of the actors on violence. There it the consent in which in sports the use of force are legitimated by regulations, but that to infringe rules they assume unsportsmanlike body postures. He becomes alert in the need of the fair play, and conclude about the advantages of the sports for the formation of values, as well as your contribution the processes of peace and nonviolence.
