The Organization of the Cuban sports system based on Science and Innovation

Abstract
The National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation of Cuba needed to
implement Government management based on science and innovation. Given the
insufficiency of managing the continuous improvement of all its processes from a
scientific-technological perspective, it guides its solution having as its fundamental axis
Science and the values contained in the Vision of the Nation and the National Economic
and Social Development Program. The objective of the study is to describe the actions of
the Cuban sports system in the organization of its processes with Science as its
fundamental axis. The research is non-experimental, from a descriptive transectional
design. Scientific methods of the theoretical and empirical level of the research were used.
The result was the declaration of strategic aspects such as: the insufficient organizational
culture on Science, Technology and Information activities, the lines of research and
innovation were identified to be addressed until 2030, with emphasis on management,
quality and diversification of offers. in Physical Education and sports for everyone from
the community. These diagnostic results contributed to outlining the main science and
innovation actions aimed at improving the essential processes of the Cuban sports
system.
