Analysis of a Voleibol setter from the Reversal Theory
Main Article Content
Abstract
The performance of a passer from the National Team was analyzed from the Investment Theory (IT). The objective is to reveal new psychological scientific edges in the understanding of the behavioral and emotional sphere of athletes, from a first approach to the Investment Theory. The qualitative case study method is used. Her metamotivational profile is telic-conformist-teacher-self-centered. It was concluded that two dysfunctional metamotivational investments of the paratelic and sympathetic type occur in the athlete, compromising their performance during international competition.
