Test to diagnose the physical condition of applicantsto the taekwondo university sport practice
Main Article Content
Abstract
The lack of evaluations to diagnose the physical conditions of the students who choose to practice sports in the specialty of Taekwondo at the Manuel Fajardo University of Physical Culture and Sports Sciences, gave rise to the need to create a physical diagnosis, whose Assessment provides the referents on their physical conditions, for the subsequent design of work strategies that will allow students to have a more objective learning of the techniques of this sports martial art. The objective of this article is to propose diagnostic tests to evaluate the initial physical condition of university Taekwondo practitioners. A bibliographic and field study was carried out, based on empirical methods such as observation, surveys of specialists and a theoretical level such as analysis and synthesis, the system approach, bibliographic analysis and analysis-synthesis of scientific information. Among its fundamental results, the identification of the parameters to be controlled and the proposal of the inclusion of physical diagnostic tests for the beginning of this practice stands out. The results showed the physical deficiencies that should be improved in the six-month period that the discipline under study is taught. This experience can be replicated in other university disciplines of combat sports.
