Abstract

There are limited references to fencing studies that have characterized the pattern of integral laterality to intervene methodologically in relation to these preferences, therefore and taking into account the importance of laterality for motor skills, sports performance and its assessment based on the result competitive, the objective of the research is to characterize the laterality patterns of sample in high performance to carry out trend studies and perfect the preparation based on their genetic motor potentialities. For this, were applied theoretical level methods such as analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction and empirical level methods such as the laterality test that integrates six tests designed under the criteria of experts in this subject and others scientific advances. Based on the results of the research, the coaches will be able to implement personalized strategies to prepare the athlete for optimize individual and team performance, evaluate the genetic motor potentialities, their strengths and weaknesses, and their preferred relationship with the practice of foil, épée and sabre.
