Diagnosis of smoking in adolescents Sports Complex

Abstract
The investigation responds to a doctoral training project belonging to the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Bayamo, Granma, Cuba. In the "Jesús Menéndez" Sports Complex in the city of Bayamo, a problematic situation occurred, reflected in the increase in the smoking habit of adolescent practitioners, which constitutes a global health problem, which is aggravated by the characteristics of this age group, being at a disadvantage, due to the socio-psychological characteristics that mark this stage of the development of the life cycle. In this sense, the research that constituted a pre-experimental and field memory was developed with the purpose of applying a diagnosis of the current situation presented by smoking in adolescent practitioners belonging to the sports team of "Jesús Menéndez" in the city of Bayamo, to achieve this objective, methods and techniques were used such as: the questionnaire, the interview and participant observation, in a period between January and May 2019. The results showed a prevalence of the habit in the male sex, relevant the influence of sports teachers, friends, partners and relatives were a risk factor in most cases.
